Terms of Use

The Studio is offered as a beta educational platform. Features, content, and availability may change. The Studio may contain errors or experience interruptions. It is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

The Studio helps a parent or guardian and student organize and present a science fair project. The student’s project must reflect the student’s own ideas, observations, work, and learning.

The parent or guardian is responsible for supervising the student’s use, approving information before it is entered, and reviewing the project before it is exported or submitted. An educator may help with the project but does not replace the parent or guardian’s required role.

Users must follow the rules and safety requirements of the science fair in which they intend to participate. If that science fair requires project approval before experimentation or data collection, users must wait for approval. The Studio does not replace adult supervision, safety review, instruction, or science fair requirements.

Only a parent or guardian may create and manage a Studio account. A student may participate in project work under that adult’s supervision but may not independently create or use an account.

The parent or guardian is responsible for protecting account credentials and for activity under the account. Do not share login credentials with anyone who is not authorized to use the account. Contact us if you suspect unauthorized access.

Access to a particular science fair through the Studio may require an access code. An access code does not guarantee that a project is eligible, approved, or accepted.

The person who owns rights in project content retains those rights. By entering or uploading content, the parent or guardian grants us a limited permission to host, store, process, display within the account, and generate presentations or exports from that content as needed to operate the Studio.

When a project is submitted for science fair review, this permission also allows us to make the submitted materials available to authorized organizers, administrators, committee members, and reviewers for science fair purposes.

The parent or guardian is responsible for ensuring that content entered or uploaded may lawfully be used and follows applicable science fair rules. Project content must not include a student’s name, contact information, home address, school information, or other identifying details. The Studio uses a Project ID in the project presentation instead of the student’s name.

Observation photos may show only project materials, experiment setups, and results. Do not upload photos containing children or adults, including their faces. Photos must also not show names, school information, addresses, personal documents, or other identifying details.

You agree not to:

• Use the Studio for unlawful, harmful, fraudulent, or abusive purposes
• Enter or upload content that violates another person’s rights or applicable science fair rules
• Enter student-identifying information or upload prohibited photographs
• Misrepresent who performed the student’s project work
• Attempt to disrupt the Studio or gain unauthorized access to its accounts, systems, or data
• Copy, reverse engineer, or redistribute the Studio except as permitted by applicable law or with our permission

Grammar Check is available only in the Guided Project path. It provides suggestions about possible grammar errors. It is not intended to write, develop, or substantially revise a student’s project.

Grammar Check may miss errors or suggest incorrect changes. The parent or guardian should review its suggestions with the student. Use only changes that preserve the student’s ideas and meaning, and follow the applicable science fair’s rules on original work and assistance.

The parent or guardian is responsible for reviewing the completed project and selecting Submit for Science Fair Review. Submission makes the project available to authorized reviewers for purposes such as checking eligibility and safety, requesting changes, preparing for judging, and administering the event.

Using or submitting a project through the Studio does not guarantee science fair approval, acceptance, judging eligibility, or an award. Any separate registration or consent forms required by the science fair must also be completed as instructed by the event organizer.

The Studio’s software, design, branding, and other platform materials are owned by Nueces Innovation StoryWorks, LLC or its licensors and are protected by applicable law. These Terms do not transfer ownership of the Studio to users. You may not copy, modify, or redistribute platform materials without permission, except as permitted by law.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, we make no guarantee that the Studio will be uninterrupted or error-free, that Grammar Check suggestions will be accurate, or that a project created with the Studio will meet every science fair requirement. The parent or guardian must review project content, safety, and submission requirements.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Nueces Innovation StoryWorks, LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from use of or inability to use the Studio. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited.

We may suspend or terminate access when reasonably necessary to address a violation of these Terms, protect users or the Studio, comply with law, or maintain the service. Where appropriate, we may provide notice to the parent or guardian account holder.

We may update these Terms as the Studio develops. We will update the effective date when changes are made and may provide additional notice of material changes. Continued use after updated Terms take effect constitutes acceptance of those Terms, subject to applicable law.
